Maagan Advanced Filtration System delivers next-generation industrial water filtration solutions that combine innovation with reliability.

Founded in 2015, Maagan developed the best fully automatic, self-cleaning micron-level filtration technology on the market — offering high-precision filtration down to 1–2 microns.

Maagan’s mission is to address global water challenges such as scarcity, pollution, and energy use through sustainable filtration systems.

Vision & Mission

Our Vision

To redefine what’s possible in water filtration through advanced engineering, continuous innovation, and uncompromising performance. We envision a future where industrial, municipal, and environmental sectors can rely on filtration systems that are both sustainable and efficient — delivering micron-level precision with zero waste, minimal energy use, and maximum operational reliability.

Our Mission

To provide cutting-edge filtration solutions that help tackle global challenges like water scarcity, climate change, and food security. By combining proven technology with responsible design, our goal is to empower industries and communities to manage water resources more efficiently — without chemicals, waste, or compromise. We strive to build long-term value through scalable, modular systems that meet real-world demands with measurable results.
About the Technology
About the Technology

Fiber Disc Filter (FDF) Overview

At the core of Maagan’s technology is the Fiber Disc Filter (FDF), a compact and modular filtration unit that uses tightly wound PET fibers on trapezoidal-shaped discs to achieve nominal filtration in the 1–2 micron range.

This unique design bridges the gap between sand/media filters and ultrafiltration membranes.

The system integrates a fully automatic self-cleaning mechanism that uses less than 1% of total flow for backwashing, allowing continuous operation with minimal waste.

Multiple FDF units can be configured in parallel and controlled via a single control panel, ensuring scalability and flexibility.

Compared to traditional solutions, the FDF offers a larger filtration area, a smaller footprint, lower capital costs (CAPEX), and improved energy efficiency.

Key Technical Benefits

Technical Advantages

Fully automatic and self-cleaning with minimal operator involvement.

No chemicals or disposable components required.

Minimal pressure loss and high energy efficiency.

Long lifecycle – fiber replacement only every ~ 2 years.

Modular and scalable to fit various flow requirements.

Low maintenance and reduced downtime.

Compact footprint and easy installation.

Real-time monitoring and control.

Engineered for Efficiency

Cost Efficiency

The FDF was engineered to be cost-effective at every stage.
It offers a competitive purchase price (CAPEX) and up to 50% reduction in operational expenses (OPEX).

These savings come from reduced labor, minimized energy use, no consumable filters, and up to 75% lower water use for backwashing.
In real-world scenarios, Maagan’s technology has demonstrated up to 40% savings per cubic meter of treated water compared to traditional filtration systems.

The benefit over media, bag and cartridge filters is a cost savings of up to 40% per m³ of treated wastewater.

Sustainability

Maagan’s system is built for zero-waste operation. The PET fiber discs are recyclable and typically replaced every one to two years. The backwash process is water-based, with no need for chemical agents. Compared to sand or cartridge filters, the FDF drastically reduces both solid waste and wastewater volume. This supports circular economy principles and meets stringent environmental standards for modern water systems.
Product Models

Filter Models & Capacities

Maagan offers three standard FDF units:
Each provides nominal 1–2 micron filtration, operates at 2–8 bar pressure, and is built from coated carbon steel.

The units are designed for ease of integration, with electrical compatibility and robust mechanical construction.
